98th Avenue Coffee Roasters (Canada) and its affiliates (collectively, "we" or "98th Avenue") are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of the personal information that we collect, or that our service providers may collect on our behalf, from our customers. As part of this commitment, we have established certain practices with respect to the personal information of our customers that we collect, use and disclose in the course of our commercial activities.
What is Personal Information?
"Personal Information" is information about a specific customer. The types of information that we collect from our customers and maintain in our records include the customer's name, address, phone number, email, order history and any comments that the customer may provide to us.
Why do we collect Personal Information?
We collect Personal Information (including delivery address, email, and past order history) to provide you with faster, better service by anticipating your order preferences. We may also collect your Personal Information in connection with promotions or contests or to contact you (whether by email, telephone, direct mail, or another medium of communication) from time to time to assist us in serving you better.
Unless we otherwise obtain your consent, we will not use or disclose Personal Information for any purpose other than the purposes described in this policy.
Your personal information may be shared with our affiliates, franchisees, agents, representatives, contractors and service providers who provide us with support services including order fulfillment, research and promotional activities. We retain the Personal Information that we collect for so long as such Personal Information is useful or may be required. Access to Personal Information is restricted to those employees, franchisees or service providers who require such access in connection with their employment responsibilities, franchise operations, or contractual obligations, to serve you better. Except where required or authorized at law, when Personal Information is no longer required for the purposes for which it has been collected, such Personal Information (if it continues to be in our possession) will be made anonymous or destroyed.
Your personal Information may be stored outside of Canada, including the United States. Wherever it is stored, your Personal Information will only be maintained in accordance with this privacy policy, however, it may be subject to local laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which it is stored.
If we use a service provider to assist us, the service provider will only receive the Personal Information necessary for it to perform its services. If you have indicated to us that your are interested in receiving information, newsletters or offers from us, we will send you email publications and mailings about products and services that we feel may be of interest to you. If at any time you wish to end your subscription to our publications or stop receiving such information, please follow the directions in the next section to update your personal information.
How can I access and update my Personal Information?
We make efforts to ensure that Personal Information is as accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. You may access and verify any of your Personal Information whenever you wish by either contacting us by email or by calling us at 1-604-928-4734.
Complaints and inquiries with respect to our Personal Information practices should be made by email . In the event that a complaint or inquiry is received, we will follow-up with respect to such complaint or inquiry in a fair and timely manner.

This privacy policy is effective as of January 1, 2008. From time to time, it may be necessary for us to change this privacy policy. If we change our policy, we will post the revised version here, so we suggest that you check this policy periodically for the most up-to-date version. Rest assured, however, that any changes will not be retroactively applied and will not alter how we handle previously collected information.
